Is College In Your Future? Follow This Advice To Prepare!

Is College In Your Future? Follow This Advice To Prepare! So, you have finally made it to college: now what? Is it time to have fun and party, fitting a few hours of study time in? Maybe you will meet your future spouse on campus or launch the next great start-up company? No matter what your collegiate career has in store, the following article has some good advice to see you through. Gather your funding for your education by learning about and applying for all applicable grants and scholarships. You would be surprised at the number of specific scholarships on offer today (e.g. there's even a scholarship for lefties!) The government provides a variety of grants which they don't expect you to repay. Consider living on campus even if you go to school close to home. Not only will you miss a lot of things going on, but you may miss out on your first opportunity to live on your own and make your own financial and social decisions. If you can possibly afford it, live in a dorm. Make the effort to get to know each of your instructors. Use office hours to visit each instructor at least once during the term. If the instructor is teaching a class in your major or intended major, spend more time in office hours. When you need a letter of recommendation, it will be easier if your instructors know you. Try buying used textbooks. If you buy your books new you will be spending a small fortune. Used text books will save you a great deal of cash. College is a crazy and wonderful time, full of learning, meeting new people and discovering so much more about yourself. Take full advantage of this time and keep the end-goal in mind at all times. Once you've got that college diploma, the sky is the limit to what you can do!
